- 1.Odometer readings
- We show each odometer reading we found, kept separate by source and never merged. TX Inspection is the reading and date from the most recent Texas DMV safety inspection on file. VINinspectis the latest mileage reported by VINinspect, which carries no reading date. Each value reflects a single point in time — it may be weeks, months or years old and does not necessarily represent the vehicle's current odometer, and the two sources often differ.
- 2.Estimated value
- A rough indicative figure computed from year, make, model and recorded mileage. It is not a professional appraisal and not the actual auction sale price — the final price is determined at the auction itself.
- 3.Title & condition status (Clean / Salvage / Sheriff flags)
- Two independent signal families, never merged. The Clean / Salvage title badge comes from NICB VINCheck and VINinspect — third-party public services. The Sheriff: Salvage / Parts Only / Floodbadges are what the auction listing itself declares (Harris County Sheriff's Office via GovTow Auctions); they exist only for Sheriff lots and may disagree with the third-party signal. A missing flag does not mean the vehicle has a clean title, and a salvage flag does not mean it's currently branded salvage in the state where it's sold. Title brands can change after auction. Always pull the official title from the seller before bidding.
- 4.Auction date, time & location
- Sale date, start time, lot name, address and the minimum (starting) bid are scraped from HPD and Harris County Sheriff public listings. The minimum bid and bid increment are the auction's declared starting floor — the live current bid happens on the auction site during the sale. The organizing authority can cancel, postpone, or relocate an auction without notice. When the publisher omits the start time for a lot, we leave that field blank rather than guess — different storage facilities run at different hours during the same day. Always confirm the schedule directly with HPD or the Sheriff before traveling to a lot.
